The Infant Jesus of Prague in the Church of Our Lady Victorious and St. Anthony of Padua and the Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites

The Church of Our Lady Victorious

The Infant Jesus of Prague is a small statue that is a source of grace and has given rise to many miracles.
It was brought to Bohemia from Spain nearly 400 years ago. It looks out over the pilgrims in the church with a gaze full of tenderness and grace. As though it was not a 400-year-old statue gazing at us but the love of God himself.
The veneration of the Infant Jesus of Prague is attested to by the gifts of the faithful. The statue has dozens of costumes coming from many parts of the world. The most valuable ones historically are those sewn by the Empress Maria Theresa herself.
Today the Infant Jesus of Prague is once more cared for by Carmelite priests, who have returned to Prague after an absence of 280 years.
